Ben and Jerry's 2011 Flavors ARE HERE!!

4th of July, Halloween, Xmas Time, Opening Day of Baseball. All my favorite days of the year. Add one to that list - when the new Ben and Jerry's flavors debut.

This year's lineup includes - Bonnaroo Buzz (named after the TN music festival), Late Night Snack - chocolate-covered potato chip pieces and Red Velvet Cake which is what it sounds like.

Mid-Winter Springs Eternal

Well, it's almost February, which means it's almost time for the 2011 flavors.
Last year, I saw the new 2010 offerings first at Shoppers Food Warehouse, so if history is any guide, the 2011 flavors will be somewhere else.

I often find somebody else blogging or posting about them before me, which is a little jealousy-provoking, but it's also nice to know someone else out there cares.
Of course, I'll blog about them as early as I can for y'all.

Back for More

So, I got an email from B&J's ChunkMail service (which should be sent more often), informing B&J Nation that Pumpkin Cheesecake, a wonderful Fall flavor is coming back for a short run. Add it to your shopping lists.. you hear me !!

Melted Pies

Folks, run don't walk to get a limited batch pint of "Snickerdoodle Cookie", which is a little like "GingerSnap" - same ginger bite, caramel ice cream, wonderfully textured. Funny how their chocolate-based concoctions aren't always my faves; I prefer their flavors that are more like melted pies.

Not How I Planned It

I somehow lost the lid to 'Berry Voluntary', which would make it difficult to include it in my re-fashioned photo album for B&J ice cream lids.
Of course, the genesis for this is that I need to get spaces for more lids, since the album is full. But, instead, I think I'll just get another similar album for lids - New and Old Testament, as it were.
In the next wk, I'll add the (if I can find it) BV lid, the Brownie Choo Gooder lid and the Snickerdoodle Cookie lid. Wow, don't lead an exciting life?

Back for More

Searching for new or untried flavors notwithstanding, I often purchase 'older' B&J flavors, because I like them so much. High on this list are Key Lime Pie, Cinnamon Buns, One Sweet Whirled and S'Mores.

The Big W

After dropping off my daughter at daycare today, I drove to WalMart to see if they stocked any "Flourless Chocolate Cake" pints. Not only did they not, but they didn't have ANY B&J flavors. I suppose I'd need to visit one of those Super Duper Walmarts. There's one maybe 15 miles from here, which is officially in schlep territory. Not sure I want to make that drive JUST for a flavor, but you never know.
